My first introduction to writing "poetry" was in 1969 aged 16. I wrote a book of verse that if not lost, is probably buried away in the attic of my
mothers' house. I cannot remember any of them, which I suppose is just as well really except for one, entitled "The choosing of the disciples. It
consisted of one word "You" repeated over and over. I sent it off to a poetry book publishing rouse with another that at the time I thought was half
decent. Needless to say for a small charge they offered to publish both. I declined. Anyway I started writing again in 1996…hmm 69..96. I am reluctant to call
my writing poetry but I guess it has to be categorised in some way so poetry is good enough. I have had just one piece published and that was in Punjabi. I am
not really competitive as far as arts are concerned though I have been recognised for my photographic work on occasion. I must balance this by stating that
some critics have also panned it. In between doing nothing I also paint and play guitar. Well I don't literally paint my guitar though it has been the
subject of some of my artwork. I have written most of my work under the pen of "Mirror Mist", some using "Truthis" around 150 pieces and
though not overly self-critical am happy with a dozen or so. Well that's me until I edit. So if you want to know anymore you had better check out my page
or drop me a line.
